Sweet Little Snail...

The snail he lives in his hard round house,
In the orchard, under the tree:
Says he, "I have but a single room;
But it's large enough for me."

The snail in his little house doth dwell
All the week from end to end,
You're at home, Master Snail; that's all very well.
But you never receive a friend.

just posting to share some updates and things :)
(I'm currently re-decorating my room, painting walls, ceiling, getting hardwood floors all that...and I bought these lovely new curtains at ikea for only $10! )

Anyway, I'm starting a new project with one of my good friends soon, and we will be working on over the next few months so I will have some new pictures up a little more often once that's started. lately I haven't had time to take any photographs and it's starting to drive me a little crazy.

I have about 7 or 8 project/series ideas up my sleeve to do over the next year so hopefully that will go well too!

Also, I want to thank everyone for your kind emails I don't really have time to reply to them all, but I really do appreciate them and I apologize for not getting back to many of you!

I'm still saving up for the 5d mark II ( trying to get it before summer actually ) so if anyone would like to help me by purchasing prints or hiring me for any photoshoots etc, i'd really appreciate it! ( you can flickr mail me or email me ) Do I sound desperate? haha probably because I am..

Anyway, thank you for all your support, and I hope you all have a nice easter!

A Sunset of Bokeh

Tonight was the final Knox Cruise Night of the season. It was a busy night as usual and I just wanted to take my primes out with me. Fiddy Mill and the 85 would make the trek. It's bokeh city with these two puppies.

CAption : On the terrain

I felt like I was visiting the ghost of myself when drove back down familiar roads, past places where I had done most of my early outdoor multiplicity pics. Favouring the darker images lately, my outdoor shooting self has been rather inert but the winter weather hasn't helped. Surprised at a strange warm spell of weather in the past few days, and motivated by the nature-rambling Brady, I managed to get out of my car without shivering, (feels like June!) and take a hobbling heeled-boot saunter down a lonely country path outside Lewes, yet untrodden by three pairs of Aniela feet.

Stopping and looking both ways, I realised I was completely and conveniently alone, not a person in sight for half a mile each way. I slipped with ease into a tripodless shoot that instantly looked promising through the viewfinder. A puzzled donkey over the fence stared directly at me as I jumped back and forth during my ten second timer dashes, and 15 shots later, I ended the shoot on noticing two men and a dog approaching in the far distance. And on my way back to the car I noticed an interesting looking, pissy roofless concrete den thing that will most definitely be my cloning venue on my next visit to this area :)

N.B. I like the telegraph pole, and it's in the frame intentionally.
another N.B... i did not use a wide angle lens nor a 'polariser'... :-P

Purple.. we call it the 'Rani' colour
